Transport

Transport has always been a focal point of Mott MacDonald CZ in the Czech Republic and its volume keeps growing – we help to plan and prepare projects of any size, from strategic development projects to reconstruction of local roads. We regard transport as a multidisciplinary field requiring high-quality and long-term sustainable solutions for all its users.

• Transport Planning

We provide comprehensive services that entail an entire spectrum of activities in traffic planning, traffic economics, traffic engineering, traffic modeling and traffic safety.

• Highways

The activities of our company include all types of key roads – highways, expressways and other types of high-capacity city and suburban roads both in the CR and abroad. We provide comprehensive services from initial feasibility assessment and pre-investment studies to final work handover. We have sufficient local resources for project planning, designing and overall management.

• Tunnels and Geotechnics

We provide for our clients all designing phases, from feasibility studies and comprehensive contract documentation, including estimated costs, to project management and supervision.
We have a lot of experience with designing tunnels (dug, silted, dug using sequential methods and TBM), shafts and caverns in any type of environment ranging from soft clay to hard rock. Our services also include additional technical services, from engineering-geological surveys, improvement of soil and rock injections to tunnel technology and reconstruction.

• Bridges

We pay a lot of attention to the activities related to bridge construction and reconstruction, from initial preparation that includes the creation and audit of contract documentation, the support of contractors, the technical representation of stakeholders and supervision to bridge inspections, court expert opinions and the methodology of the quality of building and rail constructions.

• Special Services

Mott MacDonald CZ Special Services Department provides solutions of special projects in diagnostics of cement and steel structures and solutions of basic and applied research in steel structures, steel defects and coating of steel and cement structures. We provide court expert services to private organizations, state authorities and criminal law authorities. We co-create the methodology of quality for building and rail constructions and help stakeholders and contractors in lodging their work quality claims. We present the results of our work in technical publications.

• Transport Buildings Financing

Transport buildings financing from EU funds or private funds (PPP) and export or project financing is our key expertise. We also provide services in cost control and mood management.

EU Funds, Environment and Technoeconomic Consultancy

EU funds considerably help to improve the quality of life and the prosperity in economically less developed regions and states of the European Union, in particular the funding of public infrastructure. Mott MacDonald CZ provides technical assistance in preparing and supervising individual operational programs of the EU funds, including their methodology and basic and additional instruments (e.g. financial and economic analyses, cost-effectiveness methodology, feasibility studies). We provide these services especially in the environment area for infrastructure projects in water and waste management, air pollution and renewable use of energies.

Water

Water management has become one of the quickly developing fields of focus of Mott MacDonald in the Czech Republic. We are one of the generally recognized national consulting leaders in water management, which can be also proven by our successful ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry for Regional Development and the State Environmental Fund.
We specialize in financial analyses, gathering information for grant applications, project preparation management, social sustainability studies, WS/WWT operator selection documentation, including license projects, operation contract audits, implementation of performance parameters systems and reconstruction financing plans.

Power

We develop power section in cooperation with experienced experts in foreign affiliates of our company, especially in the UK and the USA. We prepare technical Due Diligence and monitoring the implementation of renewable energy projects (solar, biogas, biomass) and the same activities for the energy management of buildings and public buildings. We judge and oppose concept of energy management at our clients. For public and government we offer studies and concepts of revitalization and development of land, financing power projects and EIA.

Buildings

In this area, we also focus on railway stations and airport buildings as well as on different developer projects, zoning projects or urban development studies.
Just like in other areas, our main added value is comprehensive project preparation and realization and the ability to look at projects from both a financial point of view and a technical point of view.

Project Management

In technical consulting for PPP projects, Mott MacDonald CZ is an important player on the Central and Eastern European market. Our skills are based on our experience obtained from many projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Russia and the Ukraine.
